Tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa and katao you all
I summon you all here on a beatiful early-late Friday morning, The first Friday of the month. A Friday of low signficance to me, but a great signifance somewhere else. For I still want to thank god its friday, as Fridays arent all about me
But the signfifance of others, the signficance of you all.
It is a very chilly morning in Auckland, with temperatures dropping to just 1 degree C and reaching a high of 7 degree C (at the time of writing).
Today marks a week of reflection, as it has been a week defined by hard work from everyone involved.
I, for one, have worked like a dog, and to work this hard is, in many ways, a blessing. It is a privilege to have opportunities worth giving everything for. Blake has, from what I believe, made a number of sales (I hope), and Tommi has finally completed the long drive home.
Thank God it’s Friday, and above all, thank God everyone is safe.
This week’s edition will not carry much significance, but that is life. Some weeks we grind. Some weeks we achieve great things. Other weeks we pause to celebrate those achievements. Like Rome, achievement is not built in a day.
Without weeks like these, we would have little to be thankful for. These are the weeks where we must put our heads down and work. Work like dogs. Grind. For summer is almost here, and thank God for summer, for it is the reward and reflection of our hard work.
There will be trips to Bali, days at the beach, and time away from work. There will be moments to slow down and appreciate what we have earned.
And without these weeks of hard work, what would summer really feel like?
This week I want to celebrate Tommi again, for our E hoa had travelled all the way up from Gisborne to celebrate his achievements with a weekend of food, beers, abn memories.
For thank god its friday, for fridays like these we can reflect on our previous weekends of shenanigans’.
Frank Sinatra once sang,
“For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught.”
Those words have always carried a simple truth. At the end of the day, we are not measured by our title. We are measured by our character, by the effort we give, and by the people we choose to share our lives with.
This week may not have been one of great celebrations or extraordinary achievements. It was a week of showing up. Of doing the work. Of keeping promises. Of moving one step closer to where we want to be.
As another Friday arrives, we should take a moment to celebrate not only our hard work, but also the people who make it worthwhile. Our friends who keep us laughing, our colleagues who stand beside us, and our whanau who welcome us home at the end of the day and floor42.
For Thank GOD Its friday, for fridays are a day of relaxation, and forced wipe.
This weekend I dont have much planned, just some admin, perhaps a catchup with my friends on saturday.
I’d love to know what you guys are doing.
I want to extend you all an invite to play AU main tonight, for thank god for Rust, for rust is a game where we can wind down.
Some quotes I have found good this week.
“You are allowed to think about the worst case scenario.
But you must go out there and do something about it”
- Jalen Brunson.
For thank god for our hard work.
Take that quote as you will, I hope it motivates you the same way as it does I
Things I am blessed for this week.
- Our whanu
- Our smile
- Our soul
- Our achievements
- And Huzz specifically american huzz for america just recently celebrated 250 years of a nation.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY
I WANT TO THANK
GMAIL FOR WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT COMMUNICATIONS OF FRIENDS AND WHANAU.
